Ever since she was a child, Sumati Colpitts has loved working with her hands. Having studied at the Chicago Art Institute and Kansas City Art Institute, she traveled widely, first working with Michael in an ashram in India in 1989, before reuniting in Sedona almost a decade later. Sumati is a ceramic artist whose hugely popular figurative animal sculptures inspire and delight those who take them home. A licensed massage therapist and gourmet cook, Sumati’s gift for tactile creativity results in personality-filled work capturing and amplifying the essence of the animal.
